

I am considering changing my transmission and therefore, I am considering all options. From my research, it appears the physical dimensions and ratios for both are the same but the 4L85E can handle more power and torque.


In most applications requiring a trans as strong as a 4L80E the torque of the engine will not require such a close ratio spread to keep the engine in its power band, but for others the the 6X can make a lot of.
